Centralized Traffic Control (CTC)

The requirements of management and supervision for railway circulation are completely satisfied by CTC Systems (Centralized traffic control).
The system allows the control and automatic management of one or more railway routes, by a single central site (DCO) full-featured routing Train, Train Describer and Train Graph.
also it provides for the management systems and blocks of Aces counts that type automatic block and the management of all typical operating regimes of the railway.

The HW structure and the SW packages allow an easy integration with other products; in particular, the system is able to:

Public Information Dynamics (PIMS)

The system represents Tecnau solution for management of dynamic public information for transportation.
PIMS joins completely natively with the CTC and provides dynamic information to public, about trains / vehicles leaving through the visual messages and / or audio messages.

The Tecnau PIMS passenger information system (Public Information Management System) integrates and enhances the services provided by the operators trough real time information. The calculation of the vehicles’ departure times (trains, trams, buses, underground trains) is made on the basis of their real position through to the integration of the system with the vehicle position indicator systems

Furthermore, the system can send special text messages which facilitate the communication in real time between operators and users. These messages can be displayed on information panels, to inform passengers about cancelled or unscheduled departures, special offers, events, advertising, etc.

The software structure of the PIMS system can be easily integrated, at the input level, with vehicle position detection systems (RCS, AVM, AVL, ZLR, RBL), and at the output level with external systems for display panels and loudspeakers management

Railway Electric Traction Control System (SCTE)

The system SCTE, based on ARCS system common technology, allows the remote control of power lines and all ancillary equipment (block instruments, switches, interlocking devices, alarms, signals).

The SCTE system is a customized version of the SCADA system supplied by TECNAU. The system is designed for the remote control of power lines and all ancillary equipment (block instruments, switches, interlocking devices, alarms, signals).

The SW platform is based on the Client/Server architecture which allows the information to be elaborated in one of the network nodes, and recorded in another one.

Functions
Acquiring information from peripheral devices (remote monitoring)

• Sending signals to peripheral devices (remote control)
• Giving an overall view of the state of the system by synoptic
• Providing a detailed view of the system by means of video pages displaying:
o power sub-stations

Mobile Video Surveillance (MVS)

The MVS system is a complete Tecnau solution for CCTV and analysis of on-board emergency conditions.
The MVS system is the complete Tecnau solution for CCTV: MVS was at first developed for Dubai railway, to provide vehicles with the best and newer CCTV technology.
The system was tested and then successfully installed, and is currently running on 50 trains. Give its «general-purpose» nature, MVS system can be adopted for a many different scenarios, not necessarily related to train coaches.

Functions
The main system functionalities are:

• Client/Server Architecture
• Recording hardware platform (Server) placed on-board, and managed by Tecnau applications executed in a GNU/Linux environment; removable storage unity.
• Graphical Interface (Client) for offline analisys of video stream (detection of alarm conditions, stream playing on Quad page)
• Stream export facility for optical mediums

Control System Distribution Energy (CSDE)

The CSDE system allows acquisition/elaboration of energy measures and control of Network/Plant.
CSDE is a centralized system for acquisition/elaboration of energy measures and remote control of Power, gas & oil, water network and manufacturing plants located on large geographical areas. Data collection and control terminals can be connected to the central system by wide, public or private transmission networks (ADSL, GPRS/UMTS, GSM-R, etc.) The SW platform is based on a Client/Server redundant configuration.

• System administration for set-up, diagnostic and maintenance of the system

Applications of the system
Since 2006, a large system application is in service with RFI (Italian Railways Company), for the acquisition and elaboration of electrical data of its High Voltage network along the entire Italian territory. The system allows analysis, simulation and optimization of the network and interfaces G.R.T.N. (Italian Electrical Power distribution) for data interchange.

Supervision of Auxiliary Systems (SIA)

The SIA system allows the control, management and integration of different auxiliary systems.
The SIA system allows the control, management and integration of different auxiliary systems needed for the operation and/or security control of airports, tunnels, metro/rail stations, industrial plants and complex buildings.
Typical subsystems are: Fire Fighting, Intrusion Detection, LFM, Elevators, Escalators, Dewatering, Sliding doors, etc.

In 2006, a system application has been installed in “Quattro Venti” station of Italian Railways Company (RFI) in Rome. The system allows remote control and management of the following sub-systems: Lighting & Power System, Fire extinguishers, Air ventilation, Fire alarm, Intrusion alarm, CCTV for video surveillance, Elevator and escalators, Dewatering, Gate access.

Waste Water Treatment Management (WWTP)

The WWTP System allows the control and management of Wastewater Treatment Plants.

In 2011, a system application has been installed in Wastewater Treatment Plant in Pitesti (Romania).
The system allows control and management of the following sub-systems: distribution panels and power supply, water treatment, sludge treatment and biogas production.
Currently, the system is being installed and configured for Wastewater Treatment Plant in Turda (Romania).

Lighting and Power Distribution Management Systems (LFM)

The LFM System allows the control and management of Lighting and Power Distribution for railroad tunnels.

Functions
The main system functionalities are:

• Client/Server Architecture
• Automatic configuration and power supply of the electric backbones
• Control and diagnostics of the field equipments
• Management of the lighting in the security exits on the tunnel, and in the places nearby
• Graphic display of all information(Client)
• Data elaboration in real time, trend and reports for offline data analisys
• Diagnostic and security management.

LFM comprises the following equipment managed by the SCADA system:

Applications of the system
LFM system was approved and certified by RFI in November 2013, in compliance of “Technical Rules for Security Improvements in Railroad Tunnels”.

System for Energy Efficiency (QDS)

QDS system provides automatic management of equipments, and possibly, their control, for the reduction of power consumptions. This system is applicable to lighting plants according to external light and according to the real service needs, to RED (Electric Heating of Turnouts) in order to guarantee the full availability of plants also in case of adverse weather conditions, to counters (water, power and gas) for applying initiatives to contain consumptions, and any other station equipments.
The system is regulated by the “Sistemi di Telegestione ed Efficientamento energetico degli impianti LFM ed Utenze” (RFI DTC ST E SP IFS LF 627 A) specification.
Functions
The main system functionalities are:
• Diagnostic, monitoring and command of lighting systems (lighting towers, shelters, underpasses)
• Diagnostic, monitoring and command of electric heating of turnouts
• Diagnostic, and monitoring of counters (water, power, gas)
• Diagnostic, monitoring and command of station equipments and devices, like lifts, elevators, lifting pumps, heating/conditioning systems
